Installation of 28 wax hollow bodies, formed, each 3,94 - 5,91 inches, on 9 Plexiglas boards in 49,21 x 35,43 inches, with wire hung up on height 82,68 inches (upper edge).
But the reason must originate from the exterior, and then what is inside is very visibility and obviously. What is in the outside, is also in the inside, and what is not in the outside, that is also not in the inside: A thing is both its exterior and its interior. (Original text in German)
In his work as a surgeon, Paracelsus was in close contact with the carnal, living matter of the human body. He gained profund insight into the relationship between the outside an the inside of a human being from his experiments as well as from many years of studying nature. This is an area that I explore with my projects «A thing is both its exterior and its interior».
